What’s fair?

Shall we get mad for praying recklessly?
Is it because we are not wise enough?
Then, are we pushing ourselves fecklessly?
Or is it all part of a major bluff?

Look at it! Reality is not flawless,
Neither are we. Or aren’t we in pain?
Would it be better to remain thoughtless?
It would not, impossible with such disdain.

Perhaps hypocrisy turned us numb,
Being permanently used to strife.
It’s not like we don’t appreciate the crumbs
But it’s often greed what binds our life.

Now it’s too late for pitying intentions;
Too late for unmerited redemptions.
